Ramor Watersports Club
RMC was established in 2009 and has grown since, adding a nice little marina for their keel boats, an area for their dinghies. Starting from humble beginning they have a great relationship with the Lakeside Manor Hotel which provides fantastic views of the lough Ramor in Co. Cavan. We joined them in 2021 and decided to make it our home base to grow RC sailing from. It is not innocent we selected this location being within an hour drive from Dublin on the N3, it is also close to Northern Ireland where we also have groups of RC sailing enthusiasts. We can enjoy a big free parking by the lake, green to rig up our boats, and a number of locations to launch and retrieve our boats from. A great sailing area close to the shore with options on where we control our boats from. Access to a rescue boat to lay marks and retrieve boats in difficulties. And I'm not talking about the real friendly bunch of members who are actively sailing on the Lough who are very approachable and willing to share their passion of sailing with others. Overall a great place to be and a great place to sail. |
